Business Systems Analyst

Overview
The Business Systems Analyst translates high-level architectural visions into practical, economically viable solution designs. Responsibilities include understanding the complexities of existing systems and designing solutions that simplify, streamline, and effectively integrate these systems. This new position will work on a team that collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to deliver automation technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Analysis: Gather and analyze business requirements to understand the needs and objectives of the organization
- Systems Analysis: Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and automation
- Solution Design: Develop detailed solution designs that meet or exceed business requirements and align with the overall architectural vision
- Feasibility Assessment: Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Integration Planning: Develop integration plans to ensure seamless interoperability between systems
- Data Analysis: Analyze data and information flows to identify opportunities for optimization and data quality improvements
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation of system designs, including process flows, data models, and technical specifications
- Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that solution designs are aligned with project goals
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must obtain a moderate-risk or high-risk Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or a related role
- Strong understanding of systems architecture and design principles
- Ability to travel as required
- Ability to analyze complex systems and processes
- Ability to effectively document and communicate system specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with data modeling and analysis techniques
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Systems Analyst Professional (CSAP) credential or equivalent
- Experience with specific system design tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of automation technologies (e.g., Intelligent Automation (IA), Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning)
