Business Analyst

Overview

The Business Analyst will work on a team that collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to deliver automation technology solutions for our clients. These projects help our clients ensure process accuracy, reduce cycle times, and improve staff and customer experiences. As a Business Analyst at Genus Technologies, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify business requirements, analyze processes, and recommend solutions that simplify, streamline, automate and effectively integrate these systems to improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements to understand the needs and objectives of the organization
• Analyze existing systems and processes. Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities for enhancements and automation
• Analyze data and information flows to identify opportunities for optimization and improve data quality
• Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including business cases, process flows, data models, technical and functional specifications
• Facilitate meetings and workshops to drive consensus and decision-making
• Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Collaborate with other business analysts, architects, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that solution designs are aligned with project goals
• Identify opportunities to increase process efficiency and enhance system that positively improve organizational effectiveness

Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must obtain a moderate-risk or high-risk Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst or a related role
• Understanding of systems architecture and design principles
• Ability to analyze systems and processes
• Ability to effectively document and communicate system specifications
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with data modeling and analysis techniques
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD)
• Ability to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA), Certified Systems Analyst Professional (CSAP), Agile or equivalent
• Experience with Jira, Confluence or other project management tools 
• Familiar with automation technologies (e.g., Intelligent Automation (IA), Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning)

Location:

• Genus Technologies is located in downtown Minneapolis, MN. This role is in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
